The movie Pretty Baby was released in 1978. It stars Brooke Shields as a 13 year old girl who is addicted to drugs and prostitution. She has a baby, and she tries to get out of the life she's leading because of the video that her baby father took of her being high on cocaine. He shows it to his friends at school, which leads to many other people getting involved in prostitution, drug use, etc. Brooke Shields plays a young girl who gets a taste of the good life when her father takes her on his boat after he runs out of money. She quickly becomes addicted to cocaine, and prostitution kicks in when she is kidnapped by a pimp and taken to a brothel, where she gets raped. She goes back home with no money, no clothes, and no home because her dad threw her out of the house. It turns out that Brooke is very naive about sex and drugs. A friend ends up fixing up her car for free, but then turns it over to a prostitute after taking drugs in it. He ends up getting in trouble with the police for stealing it. Her father is having an affair with one of his friends' wives, and he tells Brooke to leave him alone when she confronts him about the cocaine. After her parents get a divorce, her mother marries a guy who sexually abuses Brooke (he kisses her against her will). She gets pregnant, has an abortion at 6 months, and then runs away from home because of abuse. After turning tricks on the street for prostitution until she gets arrested for possession of drugs (because of that guy trying to rape her). She winds up in court with the judge telling everyone that she was used for sex, and she doesn't know any different. While she was in the prostitution business, she met a guy named Joey who is a drug addict. They have a baby together who brings them both down to his level, and they end up going on welfare. They also kidnap a baby from its mother because they think it is theirs, but it turns out that it is not. She makes a video of her baby father showing him doing cocaine, and shows it to his friends at school. The video ends up getting passed around from student to student at school, and ends up on the news as well as other media outlets. She is able to meet with her father after returning home from her prostitution without him knowing that she used to make money by selling herself for sex..
